✈️ Akshat Sethi Pilot – Commercial pilot with experience flying domestic and international routes. Formerly with Air India, now serving the Government of Gujarat. Passionate about aviation safety, precision flying, and exploring cultures through travel and language. Sharing stories from the cockpit and beyond.
Introduction
To many, flying is a job. To me, it has always been a way of life. I am Captain Akshat Sethi, known to many as Akshat Sethi Pilot, and even after more than a decade in the cockpit, every take-off still brings the same passion, purpose, and pride that I felt on my very first flight.
Early Passion for the Skies
Born on November 28, 1988, in Bhopal, India, I grew up fascinated by the skies. That curiosity shaped my path—leading me to complete a Bachelor of Science in Aviation and earn my Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
My professional journey began at Air India, where I flew both short domestic and long international routes. These challenging early years sharpened my technical expertise and, more importantly, taught me the value of staying calm and decisive even under intense pressure—traits that would later define me as Akshat Sethi Pilot.
Serving Gujarat Aviation with Purpose
Today, I serve as a government pilot for the Government of Gujarat, operating high-priority and VIP flights that demand absolute discipline and precision.
This role goes beyond experience—it is built on trust. Every assignment requires punctuality, professionalism, and the unwavering responsibility to carry lives safely. As Captain Akshat Sethi, I view each take-off as a promise and each landing as proof of that promise delivered.
Life Lessons from Aviation
Flying has shaped not just my career, but my character. Aviation has taught me discipline, patience, and the power of making decisions with clarity and intent.
Turbulence, I’ve learned, is inevitable—both in the skies and in life. But staying composed, focused, and prepared turns challenges into stepping stones. These lessons have become guiding principles not just in my profession but in every part of my life.
Beyond the Cockpit
Outside of aviation, I’m passionate about music, travel, and learning about cultures. I am fluent in Hindi and English, and I’m currently learning Gujarati and Punjabi to better connect with people across the country. I believe every person and place has something to teach—and I carry that learning mindset into every flight as Akshat Sethi Pilot.
Inspiring Future Aviators
Recently, searches for “Akshat Sethi Pilot” have been increasing, which I see not as fame, but as responsibility. It motivates me to stay humble, work harder, and continue earning the trust placed in me by colleagues, passengers, and the administration I serve.
At the heart of this profession is trust—and maintaining that trust is my greatest achievement.
Conclusion
Looking back, I realize that I didn’t just choose aviation—aviation shaped who I am. It refined my character, tested my resolve, and strengthened my humanity.
Captain Akshat Sethi is more than a title—it represents a journey of discipline, dedication, and purpose, showing that true success in aviation comes from integrity as much as from skill.
